Creatures of association
Polar bears in polkadot pants pillow and pinky mousie that Noah tosses around when he sleeps; these are objects if any for his sleep association.
I question while looking at our little baby fall asleep, "Are we here to sleep train him or here to help him to sleep?"
The answer is so simple and clear. There is a reason why babies are so adorable and tender, it is to ensure we will not hardened our hearts against them. As woman is a helper to man; parents are even more so to children. Some may argue the best kind of help is to train them, and for me the training must happen later. Let babies be babies, let us help them, especially in their year zero.
Tomorrow is Baby Dedication for our baby Noah at Salem Chapel at the church's OneEleven cafe (named after Philemon 1:11 about the story of Onesimus turning from useless to useful). The stage is set, let us commit to walk in the Faith, and help Noah to walk in the Faith as much as possible. This is our dedication or consecration. Therein is our choice for his Godfather to be Adrian and Godmother to be Audrey - they are our spiritual reinforcements for Noah. May God pave our way of Faith. Amen to Noah's association with the sacred/ spiritual/ holy. May God guiding light always shine for you, even in the darkest moments. May God also provide us your dummy parents the wisdom and commitment to help you in your walk of Faith.
