Dance (after the spurt)

The last 3 to 4 days could quite possibly had been a growth spurt. Tantrum or sleep-fighting went off the charts, to the point of repeated head banging and nudging against the bedroom wall. I could not bear it; soften my heart and released him from the bounds of our bed to his play area in the living room, only to observe more tantrums or violent play/ toys throwing and mishandling. This is the most tired Joakim and I have seen Noah.

But today, all the routines and amiable play is back in place. Morning nap occurred right after the pram rolled out from Salem Chapel's church nursery, and afternoon nap (the one we had failed over Wed, Thu and Fri) fell into place by 4pm. It is days like this that nursing Noah can feel like a dance of tango; the tugs, pulls, and caresses are mutual and readable.

Noah's interest in pictures and books are noticeably increased. Alas some openings or opportunities to read to him and flip the book with him. Pointing is being noticed by Noah too.

Growth is mightily ongoing. Who would have thought that head banging could be yet another milestone?!
