Increased alertness

It is usual that Noah falls over or stumbles when he is tired, but none of such yesterday even after he stayed awake into his 6th hour after the last nap. In fact, he was rather alert and stimulated by his surrounding still. Change! I have been waiting for this milestone (between 12 to 15 or 18 months, and Noah is reaching 13 months in less than a week) whereby the baby looses his 2nd nap that many talk and write about.

Today, he slept 10.30am, woke up 11.30am, and I got him to nap again and we are into the 12.30pm clockstroke and he wakes up yet again, very grouchy and grumpy crying non stop. I nursed (a rather "controversial" sleep crutch as deemed by many) him back to sleep, and he napped waking up happy closing into 2 I think. How unusual that he continues to nap into the 3rd hour!?

I no longer remember when he lost his 3rd nap. I would say that elusive 3rd nap is very on and off. With Joakim in Singapore, he does sometimes 2 and sometimes 3. Transiting to Stockholm, I had quite a couple remarkable 3-nap days with Noah in Sollentuna, and not so much in Sundbyberg now. These are called Nap Transistions.

And with one nap in the day - He is getting more ready for daycare than ever.
p.s. Thank you Godmother Audrey, for sharing baby Lance napping timing in the daycare so I have a chance to spot this change in Noah's napping pattern.
