Ett or En

Ett brev for a letter and En meny for a menu. Yes, I am training hard on Noah's father tongue. So is Noah; he training hard on his multi-lingual skills I believe. Soon 20 months and still saying only a couple of words that we can match with any of the languages we are speaking, although he does babble a great variety of sounds. I tend to joke that he is speaking Indian. It should be made clear that Noah seems to understand what we speak to him though, whether in Swedish or English, and a little less in Chinese since I do not regularly speak it.

A kind father named Johan I met in baby Sunday school at church recommended Duolingo and yes it works to learn languages via an app to a certain degree.

This week is topsy turvy due to Noah's messy night sleep routines, waking up 4am and not sleeping but nursing into the mornings. It could be due to the ruptures of the 9th to 14th teeth all at once, two on top and 4 below. It could also be the intensive learning of stuff he is going through. Who knows?

We started Noah on Babblarna that we heard was designed by speech therapists to get toddlers speaking. Noah seems to like it.

Noah's nurse said that he should be speaking around 10 words by 24 months. If not we can ring her for a check up before this schedule 36 months visit. It is noted that he seems slower in speech development.
